Do I need a Push Up Bra?

We hear this a lot in our shops- "I need a push up bra- the girls just aren't where they used to be and I hate the sag."

Well let me break it down for you:

A push up bra is probably not your best option.

First of all, they usually only come in 30-38 A-D. Most people who are "sagging" are outside that size range.

What you need is a bra that actually fits you and lifts from the band.

Now, if you are in fact a 30A and you want need a little more oomph to fill out a dress or feel confident, by all means let's get you hooked up.

For the rest of us, what we really need is a structured bra in the right size. Some seams. A tight band. This purple bra is an old color, but check out this difference:

Before and after bra fitting - the after is almost pushing her tissue too much

This customer went down several band sizes (and therefore up several cups). She was close on the cup volume of her original bra, but the 44DDD just didn't lift as much as the 38G (US I) that she ended up in. She really should be in the GG/J but this was the push up look she was going for.

Here's the other note- when you say push up- what do you imagine exactly? Most push up bras cater to the male gaze- the pushed together cleavage look (which is totally fine if that's what you're going for). Now, depending on how your breasts are set on your torso, you may never be able to get them pushed together.

Now, if you mean tits on toast/ Bridgerton look, that's a different kind of bra. The French (Marie Antoinette anyone?) do that really well. Each breast is lifted from below and the end result is a full and round shape.

So look, come see us. Book a fitting. Bring a shirt or dress you want to feel fabulous in. You probably don't need a push up bra, but rather a bra that fits. We've got it.
